1. What is Switchbike?
Switchbike is a bike subscription service that gives you access to a high-quality bike for a simple monthly fee. It includes maintenance, repairs, and support — without the hassle of ownership.
2. How does the bike subscription work?
You choose a bike, subscribe online, and we deliver it ready to ride. You pay a fixed monthly price that covers everything you need to stay mobile. Repairs & maintenance included.
3. What’s included in the monthly price?
Your subscription includes the bike, regular maintenance, repairs, servicing, and support. No hidden fees, no surprise costs.
4. Is there a minimum contract duration?
No. Switchbike is flexible — you can pause or cancel your subscription anytime.However, we do have 6 or 12 month subscriptions that give a discount!
5. Do I need to pay a deposit?
No deposit is required. We believe mobility should be simple and accessible.If you lose your bike or if it gets stolen, you do pay a small loss fee. Please reach out to customer support if you have any issues here.
6. What happens if my bike needs repairs?
We take care of it. We repair your bike on the spot or switch it with another one so you stay on the move. Please reach out to customer support if you have any questions.
7. What if my bike gets stolen?
We know having your bike stolen really sucks — so we do everything we can to make the situation as painless as possible & give you a new bike as fast as possible!
You’re covered with theft support. In case of theft, a small self-risk contribution applies, but you won’t have to replace the bike at full cost. The fee depends on the bike, but it’s never more than three months of your subscription.
8. Am I responsible for damage?
Normal wear and tear is included. Intentional damage or misuse may result in additional charges. Please contact customer support if you have any questions or issues.
9. Can I switch to a different bike model later?
Even if you’re on a 12-month contract, we’re happy to help you switch to a different bike model.

10. Are the bikes new?
We use both new and professionally refurbished bikes. Every bike is thoroughly checked, serviced, and tested before delivery.
Not happy with your bike’s condition? No worries — we’re happy to switch it for you. Just contact our customer support team.
11. How sustainable is Switchbike?
Sustainability is at our core. We follow circular economy principles by repairing, reusing, and extending the life cycle of every bike.
12. Where is Switchbike available?
Currently, Switchbike operates in Zürich, with plans to expand to more cities.
13. How long does delivery take?
We aim to deliver your bike as quickly as possible. If you subscribe early in the day, there’s a good chance you’ll receive your bike by the end of the day — our target is within 24 hours.

14. Can I test ride a bike before subscribing?
Yes, of course. You can test ride any of our bikes to make sure it’s the right fit for you. Just reach out to our customer support team and we’ll take care of the rest.
15. What happens if I move?
Just let us know. We’ll find a solution depending on your new location.

None, you’re not required to do any maintenance at all. Just treat the bike like your own and make sure it’s properly locked. We’ll take care of everything else.
19. Can I pause my subscription?
Depending on the subscription duration you choose, pausing your subscription is possible.
