At Switchbike, we want your experience to be simple, fair, and transparent. This Refund Policy explains when refunds apply and how they work for our bike subscription services.
If something doesn’t feel right or you believe a refund should apply in your situation, please reach out to us. We review cases individually and always aim to find a fair solution.
Subscription Fees
Switchbike subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis.

Once a billing period has started, subscription fees are non-refundable.

This includes partial months if you cancel or pause your subscription after the billing date.
Cancellations
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account or by contacting our customer support, given the contract duration.

Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

No further charges will be made after cancellation.

No refunds are issued for unused time within the current billing period.
- If needed to cancel before end of subscription duration, please reach out to our team, we will always try to find a custom solution.
Delivery & Activation

Subscription fees begin once your bike has been delivered and activated.

If a delivery is canceled before the bike is delivered, no charges will apply.

If delivery fails due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. missed appointments, inaccessible locations), we reserve the right to reschedule rather than refund.
Bike Issues & Service Interruptions
Your subscription includes maintenance, repairs, and support.

If your bike becomes temporarily unavailable due to repairs, we will aim to repair or replace it as quickly as possible.

Short service interruptions do not qualify for refunds.

In the rare case of prolonged unavailability where no replacement can be provided, we may offer a pro-rated credit or refund at our discretion.
Damage, Loss & Theft

Damage, loss, or theft is handled according to your subscription terms and theft coverage. Generally the self-risk fee is equal to 3 months subscription payment.
- The bike must always be properly locked with the provided lock. Improper locking may result in higher charges. The highest self-risk fee is equal to 6 months of subscription payment.

Any applicable fees or deductibles are non-refundable.

Refunds will not be issued in cases of misuse, negligence, or violation of the Terms of Service.
